Announcing our 2023 Festival Fundraising Campaign!

Because of your generous support, our 2022 Central Pennsylvania Ragtime & American Music Festival grew significantly, and was our best attended festival in many years! The planning committee is actively working on artists and events for our 2023 festival, and are looking to grow our community partnerships with the East Broad Top Railroad and other vendors to allow for even better experiences for our attendees!

Based on our audience feedback, we've identified three key aspects of the festival we'd like to build on to make next year's event even more fun-filled:

  • Grow our artist budget, and invite ensembles to perform alongside our staple of pianists

  • Add more events to the overall concert schedule, and reduce down time between events

  • Increase the audience interactivity at our events, including the ability for our attendees to have a formal dance floor, provide a formal program booklet to every attendee, and have name tags for all participants.

In order for us to reach these goals, we are launching our end of year fundraising campaign to raise $6000!

The Central Pennsylvania Ragtime & American Music Festival is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non‐profit arts service organization. Contributions for the charitable purposes of the Central Pennsylvania Ragtime & American Music Festival must be made payable to “Fractured Atlas” and are tax‐deductible to the extent permitted by law. Your support allows us to fulfill our mission of promoting and presenting Ragtime & early American music in the heart of Central Pennsylvania. Ticket sales for our annual festival only cover a portion of our expenses; your donation allows us to continue to bring fantastic artists to perform for you each year.

You can donate via Credit Card/Paypal at the link below, or you can mail in a check. All checks should be written to Fractured Atlas, and can be mailed to the following address:

  • How Do I Donate?

  • What events are you looking to add/plus?
We are still in the planning stages for next year's festival, but we are looking at adding additional concerts on the Friday and Saturday dates for the festival, securing a larger venue for our opening reception on Friday, working with local vendors to bring in more dining options to Rockhill/Orbisonia, and more!
  • What ensembles are you considering for 2022?
Our audience feedback overwhelmingly wanted the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra (www.peacherineragtime.com) to perform at next year's festival, so they will be the first group we pursue to perform at next year's festival. We are also exploring other ensembles based in Pennsylvania and around the East Coast that we could bring in, additional funding is needed to bring in more than one group.
  • Why $6,000?"
Our festival committee would allow us to achieve several goals: - Having $6,000 raised for next year's festival would allow us to lock in at least one larger ensemble for the festival. - The funds will secure deposits on items needed for our events (ex. projector and screen for silent movies, pianos, etc.), and allow us to get the best deal possible. - Any additional funds left-over would allow us to schedule more events in Rockhill and Orbisonia, and give confidence with our area partners that we can pull off larger scale events.
  • What if you do not hit your goal?
If we do not hit our goal, we will not be able to grow the festival as much as we would like to for next year. It is imperative that we reach this number, and your support will let us hit our target!
  • What happens if you exceed your goal?
Additional funds raised over our $6,000 goal will help to cover additional festival expenses, including covering more artist fees, administrative fees, and advertising, as well as pursuing additional artists and ensembles to join our roster!
