Our 2022 festival occurs September 22-25 2022 in Huntingdon County, PA, with events in the twin boroughs of Rockhill Furnace/Orbisonia, as well as the county seat, Huntingdon! Below is our schedule for the festival. Please read below to learn about all of the exciting events we have planned out. Tickets will go on sale the week of June 13th. We can't wait to see you in September!

Friday Evening | Silent Films @ East Broad Top Railroad (Rain location Orbisonia Presbyterian Church) - $20 per person

Saturday Morning | Symposium @ Orbisonia Presbyterian Church - $20 per person

Saturday Afternoon | Afternoon Concert @ Orbisonia Presbyterian Church - $35 per person

Saturday Evening | Broad Top Ball Dinner Train & Concert @ East Broad Top Railroad - $80 per person

*Please note: All Access passes do not include regularly scheduled excursions with either the East Broad Top Railroad or the Rockhill Trolley Museum. The All Access Pass ticket DOES include a spot with the Saturday Evening Dinner Train.

Individual tickets for the Jazz Age Social, Silent Movie Night, and Broad Top Ball Dinner Train & Concert will be sold through the East Broad Top Railroad's Ticket System. Please follow the link below to purchase those individual tickets.

Friday, September 23, 2022:

10:00 AM - 1:30 PM - Live Piano At The East Broad Top Railroad, 421 Meadow Street, Rockhill Furnace, PA - FREE

Join our pianists as they entertain you on the platform of the East Broad Top's railroad station. Our pianists will rotate throughout the morning and afternoon. And make sure to purchase a ticket and experience America's Oldest Operating Narrow Gauge Railroad: The East Broad Top, as well as the historic trolleys of the Rockhill Trolley Museum (across the street from the EBT Depot).

 

EBT Trains leave at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, and last 1 hour. Trolley rides depart at 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, or as needed. Tickets for the trains/trolleys are available on the EBT's website, www.eastbroadtop.com

2:00 PM - Afternoon Concert at the Orbisonia Presbyterian Church, 324 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA - $35 per person

Our pianists perform an afternoon concert of ragtime & American music favorites. Program lasts 2 hours including intermission. 

5:00 PM - UPDATED - Classic Ragtime Concert at the Orbisonia Presbyterian Church, 324 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA - $35 per person

UPDATED EVENT - Our pianists perform an evening concert, themed to the music of Scott Joplin and the "Classic Ragtime" composers. Program lasts 2 hours including intermission.

7:30 PM - Silent Movies at the East Broad Top Railroad Station, 421 Meadow Street, Rockhill Furnace, PA - $20 per person

Join us for an evening of movies under the stars at the East Broad Top Railroad’s Orbisonia Station! A trio of tantalizing silent comedy shorts from the 1910s and ‘20s will be screened, with live musical accompaniment by musicians of the Central Pennsylvania Ragtime & American Music Festival! Bring a chair and a blanket for this evening of movie and musical fun! Grab a bag of popcorn and a hot drink, sit back, and enjoy the show! In the event of inclement weather, the program will be presented at the Orbisonia Presbyterian Church.

Saturday, September 24, 2022:

10:00 AM - Saturday Morning Symposium at the Orbisonia Presbyterian Church, 324 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA - $20 per person

Pianist and historian Adam Swanson presents his lecture on the Golden Reunion in Ragtime - a recording session featuring Charlie Thompson, Eubie Blake, Joe Jordan, and "Ragtime" Bob Darch.

5:00 PM - The Broad Top Ball - Dinner Train, Concert & Dancing - 421 Meadow Street, Rockhill Furnace, PA - $80 per person

Hop aboard a 1 hour round trip excursion on the East Broad Top Railroad, America’s oldest operating narrow gauge railroad! Upon returning to the Orbisonia Station, sit down to a catered dinner, and enjoy the syncopated stylings of the Grammy-award winning performers of the Central Pennsylvania Ragtime & American Music Festival! Bring your dancing shoes and strut your stuff on the dance floor, tap your feet to the music of America’s past, and enjoy the first ever Broad Top Ball! Featured musicians include Frederick Hodges, Adam Swanson, Brian Holland, Danny Coots, Martin Spitznagel, and Andrew Greene. Attendees are encouraged to be in vintage dress for this event.

Dinner Options Are Your Choice of Either:

1) Pasta (Spaghetti) with choice of Marinara or Alfredo Sauce, Optional Meatballs, Dinner Salad and Bread

2) Pulled Pork on a Roll, with Baby Garlic Redskin Potatoes and Island Blend Veggies

All Meals come with your choice of Lemonade or Sweet Tea, as well as an Ice Cream Sundae Bar.

2:30 PM - Festival Finale Concert featuring the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra at the Orbisonia Presbyterian Church, 324 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA, PA - $35 per person

Our Festival Finale Concert features America's premier Ragtime ensemble, the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra, in a 2 hour concert spectacular! Our pianists will perform alongside the orchestra. Program lasts two hours.
